1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CandleSmart ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CandleSmart is a progressive web application that helps candle makers manage recipes, inventory, production batches, pricing, burn tests, and marketplace listings. The App integrates with Google Sheets, Etsy, Shopify, and TikTok to provide export, listing, and video posting features. The App is provided as-is and may be updated or modified at any time.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App.

4. User Data

You own your data. All recipes, inventory, budget transactions, stickers, and settings you create belong to you.
Cloud sync. When signed in, your data is synced to Firebase Cloud Firestore under your unique user account. No other user can access your data.
Community content. When you publish a recipe, its name, wax blend, scents, and intensity are shared publicly in the community feed. Your display name is attached to published recipes.
Data deletion. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes all your data, including OAuth tokens, recipes, inventory, and published content.

5. Marketplace Integrations

Etsy: The App uses the Etsy Open API v3 to create draft listings on your Etsy shop. All listings are created as drafts and are never automatically activated. We access only your shop name and listing creation permissions.

Shopify: The App uses the Shopify Admin API to create draft products and upload images. All products are created as drafts. We access only your store name and product management permissions.

Google Sheets: The App uses the Google Sheets API and Google Drive API to create spreadsheets in your Google Drive that you own. We access only your email address and the specific spreadsheet files created by this application.

TikTok: The App uses the TikTok Content Posting API to upload short videos to your TikTok account on your behalf, at your request. We access only your display name, avatar, and the ability to upload videos. We do not access your DMs, friends list, browsing history, or any data beyond the scopes you authorize. Videos are posted only when you explicitly initiate the upload.

You can disconnect any integration at any time from Settings, which immediately removes the associated OAuth tokens from our system.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data
Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
Scrape, copy, or redistribute the App's code or data without permission

7. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, and content (excluding user data) are owned by the App developer. "Etsy" is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. "Shopify" is a trademark of Shopify Inc. Google and Google Sheets are trademarks of Google LLC. This application is not endorsed or certified by any of these companies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that calculations (such as wick recommendations, pricing, or cost estimates) will be perfectly accurate. Always verify critical calculations independently.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is currently $0 for all users).

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App itself.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.
